As I see the future
the future has only one posible outcome for humans and for earth: we fuck ourselves over royally.
And this is why:
Eventually people are going to be living on other planets which will be inhabited by only humans. So far it looks like were only getting to the moon and mars in the next 50 years. But a day will come when people live on venus(closest planet to earthin our solar system) and probably the moons of jupiter(largest objects next to a planet but still bigger then pluto). and humans will come to realize that war will be brought to the stars. It is human nature to be war-like and with our current trend of existence... we may have "used up" earth by the time we live elsewhere.
So, there are ways i predict that the future should go to further the stability of humanity:
1. All Human setteled planets must be strongly socialist.
- This will stop from fighting over resources and land because each individual will be assured his or her own "piece of the pie".
- Humanity will have less of a need for mass weapons and the heed to cause death
- There can only be one government and unifying power, ergo: nobody else to fight
2. All humans must come to the conclusion that religion in its self is wrong and incorect.
- There will be no belifes because they take too long to change, people will only be allowed ideas because they can be challenged and changed in short amounts of time.
- When contact with a sentient life form occurs, there wont be mass chaos on the instant realization that they were wrong in the first place
- Religion causes more problems then it solves (ie. ww2, the crusade, present day terrorism etc.)
3. People must learn to understand that they are not worth as much as a larger purpose
- You dont give up at the first sign of your demise, that makes you weak and harms everything and everyone that you just ended up betraying. Only crucial citizens are worth physically more then plebians. (ie. People who are needed for crucial tasks)
