So, we have a lot of stuff. And with all that stuff came a LOT of packing paper and boxes.
Things are going okay here, our stuff finally came on Tuesday afternoon. The truck was driven by a man released from the hospital the evening before after and appendectomy with rupture. Nice. The movers did a wonderful job with our stuff, and we are almost done unpacking everything and so far nothing is damaged, however, the customer service concerning our move was TERRIBLE. No one ever called back even though they said they would. No one ever explained why another driver wasn't being sent. No one even told us were the truck was during the 5 days the driver was in the hospital. It's really unfortunate because I really liked the actual movers, they did a very nice job. But we were dealt with so pitifully by ARPIN that we will not use them again.
Anyway, enough about that bitter experience, and we won't mention the details of the billing fiasco.
The furniture is finally placed where it will be staying. The kitchen is coming along really well. The books still need to be expunged from their boxes, no small task let me tell you.
The tv works... which makes progress all the harder, however we did finally get to see the top chef finally, I had managed to remain in the dark about the winner.
The animals are really starting to settle in, the cats seem to love the placement of their 6' cat tree, otter is currently sleeping in the cat tree as I type.
My internship starts on Monday at 7am... and apparently we are flying to LA on Thursday, weird. On Sunday we are going to do a float through the Arizona dessert with all the interns and some of the doctors. It should be fun and relaxing if not 116 degrees. Let's hope the water doesn't evaporate while we are tubing and we become stranded in the dessert in a tube. A tube. Not how I want to dehydrate. I would much rather dehydrate in a sauma, wrinkled like a prune... makes it all hard for the mortician and those guys need a challenge.
Toodles for now
