And it went something like this...
So, I met a celebrity! Number 4 to my list...the Queen (well I just saw her pass by in her car), Tony Blair and Natalie Portman. So now,w e can add Jeremy Irons to the list! Went to see his play this week, and I saw him before, during, and after the play!
So, before the play, we were all waiting outside (got there early to get good cheap tickets). All of a sudden, I noticed this bum walking down the street, and his 2 dogs following him. Then, it dawned on me that the bum looked like Jeremy Irons...so yea there he was, just nonchalantly walking down the street. And no one stopped to both him or ask him for an autograph or anything!
So saw the play, it was good, blah blah blah. We waiting for him outside the stage door with about 10 other people. He finally comes out, and I am the first one he greets! This is how our conversation went:
Everyone: Hello! *claps*
Jeremy: Thank you, thank you. Did you enjoy the play (to me)
Me: yes, I did...very much.
J: Where are you from?
M: The States. I am working here for a few months.
J: Ah, me too. *Laughs* You enjoying it.
M: Yes, I don't want to go home! I love it here!
J: That's wonderful...your great
And then he moved onto the next bunch. He talked and signed autographs for everyone standing there. Which was really nice...he was very humble and down to earth...which made me happy. I bet there are a few famous faces out there who wouldn't give you the time of day...he didnt even come in a limo! He walked to work like everyone else, with his dogs, Dottie and Dora, in toe. Tow? Toe?
Point is...he was really nice. Not everyone would do that, so I was really happy. And that was SCAR! You know, Scar from Lion King! Heathbar said: "I love how out of all the things jeremy irons has done in his career, in your eyes he is Scar." And really, it is so true...cause thats the first thing I remember seeing him in (well hearing him). And scar was the shit! I also enjoyed man in the iron mask and die hard 3, but still, lion king is top of my list.
