Finally finished season 2 of Avatar, I had to turn to bittorrents to do it- it's been a long time since I've wanted to see a show *this bad*, especially since I kept hearing BIG SPOILERS AND HAD TO SEE IT BEFORE MORE GOT RUINED. But oh wow... that's a hell of a fantastic show. I cannot wait until season three starts.
Zuko's not all that he seems, there is good in him, and I cannot truly believe that he has completely given himself back over to his former ambitions... not completely. Or truly ally himself with his Sister. I love how Iroh put it... "No, she's crazy. She needs to go down." I think that Zuko and Iroh are going to try make her go down.
I think that Zuko and Iroh are pulling a bit of a Snape/Dumbledore strategy ... Zuko looks like the bad guy through and through that given the chance will go back when dark ambitions call... but it's all a cover with the intention of bringing about change for the better. Iroh is in on it, of course. He's too wily not to be.
Maybe Zuko's intention is still to become firelord... I don't think that is something that ever completely left him, just to not to follow his forefathers example (for the last 100 years anyway) and help restore balance to the world, and also allow his uncle the chance to live a simple, happy life running a tea shop. And seriously? If they did nothing, then they would never be left alone to live in peace anyway.
Zuko never verbalized his choice, he and Iroh were alone for a few minutes, Zuko has changed too much to slip right back into his old self, and while fighting Katara he maintained that he has changed.
I hold to this theory, but... still... was it NOT eerie to see Zuko get so nice so quick after his illness? Franky it was kooky. He needed to scowl more.
So.... the Kyuzo wig I comissioned just got final approval... the pics the stylist sent are made of win. :3
