My beautiful Pippin did today what all cats are made to do --- he caught himself a bird. He was so proud, and with bird firmly in mouth, he trotted to the door wanting to show off his prize. So, there are about five family members in Paraguay who have named their cats after *my* cats. Turns out that they love the names Shadow & Pippin very much. I'm a bit flattered, but find it rather strange that so many of them used those names for their cats! Nice to know that Shadow lives on in the memories of others as well ( Read more... )

This morning, my cat came into the bathroom as I was finished showering and jumped up on the counter. He sat there the entire time I was blow drying my hair. He has never done that before. In fact, I totally expected him to take off running the instant the blow dryer was turned on. But he just sat there. It was so.......strange.

On Saturday, I was sitting on the couch, reading a book when my cat sat down behind my head and began cleaning himself. I turned around to give him a little kiss when I noticed he was licking his weenie. I have never, in the four years I've had this cat, seen his weenie. And so, it was quite funny to witness this.
