Done with a funderful (that is to say, splendiferous) evening in the painting studio. Seven hours; eight if you count an hour's worth of late dinner/early breakfast and running across to Hulsey to use the restroom (yeah, I know they have to lock up all the buildings at 11:00, but it's still annoying -_-). In my room, I managed to find enough exact change (3 quarters, 5 dimes, 7 nickels, & 57 pennies) to purchase another Monster to get me through the night.

Overall, I'm pleased with this painting, but it's flawless by no means. The first assignment was two paper sacks hung over a red and blue cloth. A learning experience to say in the least; I felt pretty good about it. This just finished assignment was a cornucopia of objects, all different varities of green. It wasn't the variety of green that threw me, so much as it was the sheer number of objects. Learning to imitate glass was a little tricky at first, but seemed obvious once acheived.
So, critique's later today. One of the things that's so cool about this class is that nobody does bad work at all; it's all very high caliber, but the styles vary dramatically. My own work stands out because I tend to be OCDC about maintaing sharp edges and blending/attempting to conceal brushstrokes; gotta change it up a little XP.
