The joys of moving...

Last day of work was yesterday. I got a little teary-eyed as I said goodbye to Jill & Kathy....hugs all around....and that was that. I'm officially unemployed.

Been busy packing and trying to get everything situated to be able to load up the trailer today. Dad's going to get it sometime this afternoon so we can get loaded up and have time to relax and say bye to everyone tomorrow.

Last night I loaded up my car with clothes. Two suitcases, two laundry baskets, two garment bags, and two hampers full of clothes, along with a garbage bag full of jackets. Oh, and two big bags full of my shoes. Tony has three hampers in the backseat of his car, along with a box of breakable stuff like vases and other home decor stuff. He still has some room in there for something else too.

Need to get over to Papa's today to pick up the cedar chest that aunt Marie asked him if I could have. I went over there last night and cleaned it out, except for the things that Marie said I could keep -- my grandma's wedding dress and flower boquet, my dad's hospital bracelet from when he was born, a Valentine's day card that my grandpa gave my grandma, and a picture of the two of them kissing.

Woke up at 7:30 this morning....just couldn't sleep any more. Figured I'd get up and get a jump start on finishing up packing, but no one else was up so I thought I'd chill on the computer for a while before disturbing them. Tony's up now....and since it's almost 9:00 I should probably get moving and finish up what needs to be done. Oh joy.

I really hate moving.
