Officially Rubbish

Feb 10, 2009 23:12

I really don't do anything with my evenings any more apart from read random things online. I'm not even doing anything useful, just reading. Reading journals. Reading a journal specifically. I get like that, I start reading something and I just have to carry on reading it and can't bring myself to stop. Jess isn't going pole dancing this week so I' ( Read more... )

Shellie---I am so sorry that you are feeling down...It sounds like you are a bit depressed, and no wonder with moving, living on your own, and having a horrible work mate to put up with.
I hope writing about it helps, and I hope our comments will help you too.
I know it is hard to be living alone when you are not use to it, but I hope you will get some activiites going soon.
You should go pole dancing, even without your friend... It will get you out of the house and with people that like to do the same thing you like to do....

I do hope you will get along with your landlady.
That could make the difference between enjoying your new place and hating it.

I don't know how anyone can put up with that girl, Tracy at work. If the boss knows how she is, why doesn't the boss do something about it?
No one should talk that way about anyone.
I think she has a real problem and needs help!!!
You girls shouldn't be afraid of her, though.
Perhaps if you all sit down and have a civil conversation and point out to her that she is upsetting everyone and will soon have no one to pay any attention to her, she will realize that she will be ALONE....
Or just ignore her. Don't speak to her except about work...
I hope you can sort that out.

I hope your Sat. plans will come about and that you will have some fun..
Thinking of you.
With hugs

I don't think I'm depressed, just unmotivated at the moment. Yes I think it is partly because I'm now living on my own (me and the landlady don't really see each other.) but I reckon it'll just take a little while for me to find my feet and then I'll be back to normal :o)

This lady at work is a problem, but she's admitted herself that she opens her mouth before engaging her brain and she's been like that her whole life, so it's going to be very difficult for her to change. It's really strange because sometimes she's really nice, for example she offered to let me stay in her spare bedroom when me and Pete split up, but other times her entire attitude towards people is awful. Even our boss has said she feels she has to watch what she says around her and that's not right at all! I think people are reluctant to complain about her because it's a small office with only five of us in here and if we put her in a bad mood, then the whole mood of the office is affected, so everyone spends their time tiptoeing around her trying to keep her happy. Not healthy I know :-\

The plans for Saturday still seem to be on, we haven't had any more snow yet which was the main concern because of transport, but I'll write about it after the weekend ;o)

Hi Shellie---Actually I used the wrong word, "depressed".
What you said, not motivated, is really what I was reaching for.
I think we all get that way once in a while.
So I know you will be just fine in time.

I still can't get my head around a whole office, no matter how small, would have to put up with this girls actions and moods.
Every where I have worked, throuh the years, has been a very happy expierence with my work mates. We always had such fun, and I don't recall any conflict with anyone. Perhaps I was just lucky to have such a nice working conditions...

Good on your Sat. plans. I hope you stay snow free.
We had a very nice couple days, and our show is 99% gone. Just some piles left. In fact we broke the 1965 [I think] record of high temp.We went to 59 degrees. But we are going back to the 30's, and today is very windy.

Have fun on Sat~~!!!!

Well, apparently the situation with Tracy has now been taken to the personnel office to be resolved, so someone is doing about it. I'm not sure if it will help, though, as she's been the same her whole life, she admitted it herself, and you can't teach an old dog new tricks!

She isn't at work today and we've all been having such a good laugh, it's not like that when she's here, everyone is always on their guard. It's not good that she's affected everyone's moods all the time!

It's good that someone is looking into how she is.
But is she shomehow related tothe owners, so that they can't let her go?
I supposed her work is so good that they couldn't let her go for that reason?

Someone that disrupts the whole office, should be delt with, no matter that she has been like that her whole life or not. Perhaps she needs professional help.

I hope, for all your sanity, that she gets the boot, or a good talking to to change her ways.

No, we work at a University so there are no 'owners' as such, and she really is very good at her job, she works very quickly and efficiently so they don't have any reason to get rid of her. All we can do is to try and resolve the situation.

Since I wrote that last post, you said someone was looking into the situation.
I hope they resolved something for you and the other gals in the office!!!
