So everyone who noted me said that I should take up Spanish. My title is some of the very little Spanish I already know, it means 'no smoking', very useful...I also know 'no entrada' meaning 'no entry', um, 'uno/dos/tres cerveza por favor' which is the most useful of all 'one/two/three beers please.' Can't get by without that. So I'm looking into Spanish lessons! :o)
I hate period pains, they ruin a whole day. I've so far spent it rolling around on the sofa complaining, not able to actually do anything. Even the cocktail of drugs don't help, stupid uterus. It's getting a bit better now so I'm able to sit up and use the laptop.
I did a bit of Christmas shopping online last night, go me. I hate Christmas shopping, I'm already panicking that I've still got tonnes to do.
Anyway, I be struggling with today's NoJoMo challenge, which is to write about where we'd take a tourist who was visiting our town. I don't know who would want to visit
Loughborough (Luf-bro) as a tourist, so I'll let Wikipedia speak for me in that link up there.
If you were talking about my home town where I grew up then it'd be much easier. If you were to visit
Cockermouth then I'd take you to Wordsworth House where William Wordsworth was born, the Jennings Brewery, the Norman castle, the toy museum and, if you were interested in motorbikes, the Planet Knox factory and shop. And if you wanted to go a little further afield then of course we're just on the edge of the Lake District, and everyone's heard of that place, Beatrix Potter saved it from being built up. Plenty to do in Cumbria and surrounding area.
