i do other people's homework

since it's friday, most of us here at work are feeling rather lazy and tired. we had a four-day week, but it still felt like this week took forever to end. so now that leaves us with roughly 12 more weeks until the end of the semester. i am in the midst of writing my friends operations manual for him. why? because i'm bored and i finished mine weeks ago. today is the deadline and i am the only one who submitted it. Hah!

*pause*

my dad just called. my ninang's visa was approved so she is coming to visit my parents. yay! she is coming in two weeks. schweet. i need to remember to e-mail her later and ask her to bring my christening photos and my modeling portfolio. i want copies. i was hoping that at least one of her kids would be coming, but i don't think that's the case. darn. her son oliver, who is about 2 years younger than me and was one of my best buddies when we were little, i have not seen him since i was 6. every time we visited he was either at work or at school. now i hear he is unemployed and trying to find a way to come to the states. i told her that he could e-mail me and i could see what i could do to help him.we used to beat the snot out of each other and i used to always make him cry. but we were best friends.

i'm gonna e-mail her for some pasalubong. i need to tell her that i am not into the goldilocks popcorn anymore, but my husband loves the cashew polvoron. we brought back 10 boxes of those from our last trip. LOL. there was this one other candy that i really liked that i can't get here that i know she can bring me... i forgot the name of it. and some sampaloc (sp?).

my mom is definitely going to give them the standard tour - all the malls in new jersey that she can drive to, atlantic city casinos, all of manhattan ---empire state building, ground zero, museums, central park, rockefeller center, st. patrick's cathedral, philippine embassy, united nations, bus around manhattan----- then washington d.c., broadway matinee show, and maybe a few other standard places. that's her routine every time we have visitors.

i can't wait. i am very excited!
