It had only been a day or so since the start of the semester, but already Sora had managed to create a hideous mess on his side of the room; he nearly tripped out his door as he attempted to grab his keys and maneuver around piles of miscellaneous objects. He was more excited than he had probably ever been during his time at the university, for he had learned of his friend's arrival. Sora closed the door behind him and stared at Roxas' door, waiting for him to come out.
Shortly after their agreement to meet and seek out Riku, Roxas had lounged around his room, rather anxious and thoughtful. He didn't know Riku as well as Sora did, and the only memories he did have of Riku were none too pleasant. But he was willing to help out Sora find his friend, if only to get out of his own dorm for a bit. Once ready, he slid out of bed and grabbed his room key, heading out. Opening the door, he was surprised to find Sora already there and waiting. "So where are we looking first?" He asked, shutting his room door.
"Hmm.. if I were Riku, where would I be?" Sora brought his hand up to his chin mocking the appearance of a man deep in thought. Riku wasn't exactly the kind of guy you'd see out and about, chatting up girls or trying to make new friends. He also wasn't the kind of guy to sit around and do nothing, however. In all likelihood, his friend was at the gymnasium, wandering the campus, or already doing his work. "I guess we could kinda wander around. We're bound to run into him eventuallly, though I suggest making our way toward the gym first."
Finding nothing to object to, Roxas shrugged lightly. Sora knew Riku best, so it would be sensible to follow through on his decision. "Sounds good to me," he replied, stuffing his room key into his pocket. He began to make his way down the hall, but paused before turning back to Sora. "...You know where the gym is, right?" While Roxas had been at the school longer than Sora, he was hardly more familiar with the campus, opting to stay in his room whenever he didn't have class.
"Of course I know where it is!" Sora stopped momentarily to internalize the campus map and pointed off somewhere before following the direction he pointed in. They hadn't walked far before Sora realized he was facing the library and not the gymnasium. He turned around to face Roxas, rubbed the back of his head and smiled from embarrassment. "Er.. well.."
At Sora's pause, Roxas was beginning to rethink just how much he could trust the other, but was cut short when Sora took off. Nevertheless, he followed. When they arrived at the library, Roxas gave Sora a flat look in response, before he sighed in exasperation. "Nice sense of direction, Sora," he murmured, frowning at the library in disappointment before he looked over at his companion again. "...Didn't we get maps to find our way around the school? Where's yours?"
In front of both boys was a light green bicycle. Although it was fairly more familiar to Sora then Roxas, it still held the same meaning. It was the same bike Riku had rode for his paper delivery routes. Unless by some odd occurrence, it had appeared here without it's owner, Riku was there.
"Map? Heh.." Sora did in fact have a map, but it had long since gone missing. He hadn't needed it anyway. He knew where all his classes were and he'd manage to find whatever else he needed, though he probably should have considered Roxas' patience before setting off without one. Sora turned again to face the library when he saw that familiar ugly green thing Riku used to use back home. "AH!" Sora pointed at the bike and ran into the library, hardly remembering Roxas was behind him.
Almost immediately upon his entrance into the library, Sora spotted the silver-haired boy browsing the shelves. "RIKU!!" Sora yelled out, disturbing nearly everyone in the library. He wasted no time in running up to him. Sora really couldn't contain his excitement any longer.
The boy gave a groan and whipped around to glance at Sora. "Sora, this is a library. As in /be quiet/." he emphasized, with a sigh, looking down at the brunette. After a moment, he smiled. "Nice to see you too."
"Hey! Gimme a break! I didn't know you were gonna come here." Sora pushed lightly on Riku's shoulder, glad to see his friend again. The two had been separated so many times, it was amazing Sora hadn't run out of ways to greet him. Sora stood back and placed his hands at his hip like a nagging mother. "You better be in at least one of my classes, got it?"
