What: Sasuke's roaming the beaches in his spare time, looking for a certain blond with a stupid-looking face.
Where: The west side of the island, behind the dorms.
When: May 28th
Rating: PG-13-ish for language.

Atem didn't have enough to do, and therefore, he was bored. It was warm so he'd decided to venture outdoors and take a walk, wandering a bit aimlessly, thoughts drifting as he did so. At least, until he sensed someone's presence; someone he wasn't entirely familiar with, and that drew his attention.

Turning to look for the source, he noticed Sasuke. He hesitated a moment about whether to speak with the shinobi, but eventually decided to see what he was doing. He seemed really focused on something, after all. "Sasuke." He greeted, approaching.

He glanced back when he heard his name, pausing and ignoring the way the waves swept up the beach and over his bare feet. Atem. Or "the other Yuugi", as his roommate called him.

"You again. What are you doing out here?" It wasn't accusing or even really all that inquisitive. No, Sasuke was distracted for once.

"Nothing." Atem answered honestly, though it had taken him a moment to tell what Sasuke's tone had meant. "You seem to have a reason, however. Is something going on?" The other boy seemed distracted, and Atem was curious as to why.

"I'm looking for someone," he answered curtly. "So if you want to talk then walk with me as well." Sasuke turned to continue his little trek down that beach, heading south.

Atem tried for a moment to remember the other ninja's name, as it was him he was certain Sasuke was likely looking for. "Naruto?" He asked once he'd found the right name, falling into step next to Sasuke.

"Aa... He's gone missing." He didn't mention the possibility of Naruto returning home. It was both improbable and something Sasuke didn't want to consider too heavily. "Have you seen him?"

Atem shook his head slightly, frowning a bit; Sasuke didn't have to mention being concerned about Naruto possibly having left, because Atem guessed that was on his mind. It was on Atem's every time someone disappeared for whatever reason for any length of time. "I haven't." He answered, but added, "However, people have been known to suddenly disappear, and reappear at a later time."

"I heard as much..." Not that it was doing much to put him at ease. "All the same I'll continue looking. If something happens to him Kakashi is bound to put it on my head."

... And maybe he was also a little bit worried.

"Perhaps I could be of some help." Atem suggested, and he frowned again for a moment before looking over at Sasuke. "As long as you won't be startled if I summon something." Last thing he needed was Sasuke attacking his kaa because it surprised him.

"Summon?" Sasuke raised an eyebrow. "If it's all the same to you I don't think that mangy thing is going to help, unless it has a good sense of smell."

Had Atem signed multiple contracts with summons?

Atem gave Sasuke a look; he was glad Kuriboh hadn't been around to hear that. "I wasn't talking about Kuriboh."

Atem almost rolled his eyes, but refrained. "Just don't be surprised." He warned, before closing his eyes for a moment as he concentrated. Moments later, the Magician of Black Chaos appeared, floating nearby.

To ask him not to be surprised and then to summon... well... that was a little bit unfair. Sasuke furrowed his brow, trying not to react too strongly.

"What the hell is that?"

Well, as long as Sasuke didn't attack either him or the Magician, it would be fine. Atem patiently explained, "It's my kaa. It is linked with me, and it may be able to help find Naruto. At least it will be of assistance in looking for him."

"Kaa?" If there was one thing Sasuke was interested in it was new abilities, whether he could learn them or not. And he almost always could... though the sharingan didn't seem to be as effective here. He kept on eye on the strange being all the same, wondering if it spoke.
