Shikamaru waved at the pair waiting for him.
"Hey." He motioned to the backpack he wore. "I brought snacks. So, lead the way."

Nobe recceded the growl as he recognized Shikamaru and sent forth a welcoming meow instead.

Neji nodded his head at Shikamaru and proceeded to walk towards the beach, where he knew they could start their climb.

*Slight smirk* "You'd better not get tired on me tonight, or I'll leave you behind." Neji spoke as he walked.

After about 10 minutes of Shikamaru and Neji just laying in the warmth and tenderness of each other's arms, Nobu, as usual, had decided that he had had enough of Shikamaru hogging up his Neji and decided that it was time he intervined.
(Nobu had been awakened by the bats earlier, but had left Neji and Shikamaru to their... activities.)
So, changing into a blue bat of all things (he was inspired by the bats from before), Nobu flies over to Neji's head and lands, staring Shikamaru right in the face.

Shikamaru's eyes widen, and he scrambles away from Neji, unaware of anything but the 'bat' in front of him. A whimper escapes his chest as his back hits the wall of the cave, and he freezes there, shaking in fear.

Neji grunts as he feels Shikamaru come off of him and just cathes himself before his chin hits the floor ( ... )

Shikamaru is unaware of his surroundings as he shivers, caught in the shock of seeing a 'bat' up close. Small, unintelligible whimpers come from him as he wraps his arms around his knees and rocks, naked, against the wall.
