Atem was a little late in getting to the library; he still wasn't quite used to carrying a sword around everywhere, and so it had taken a little longer than expected to figure out how to tuck it into his belt in a way that wouldn't cut him when he walked. But eventually he'd managed it, and he'd reached the ballroom.

Slinking carefully through the gap in the door created by the book, he smiled when he caught sight of Linali. "Akhet." He greeted quietly, crossing the room toward her. He was really glad to see her.

At the sound of her nickname, Linali looked up blearily before smiling, incredibly happy to see him too. "Hello, love." She was up and off the couch in an instant, meeting him near the blanket and throwing her arms around his neck swiftly. A kiss was in order next, but something metal poked into her side, right where Hakkai's most fierce punch had landed. "Ow," she mumbled, wincing.

Atem smiled at her again, putting his arms gently around her as well when she hugged him. He was really glad to be there with her, even more than usual for some reason he hadn't quite figured out yet.

He did notice when she winced, frowning slightly and pulling away. "What is it?"

Looking sheepish, Linali let go of him with one arm long enough to brush some of her hair behind her ear. "I was training with Hakkai and I'm a little sore." Meaning she had a giant black and blue bruise just above her hip. "I'm fine, really."
