Who: Linali and Atem
When: A day or two before the event starts
Where: The Ballroom
What: Atem just wants to get away for a bit, and Linali is more than happy to oblige. Aka an excuse for fluff
Rating: PG at best with these two.
Linali's finger idly traced the familiar pattern of the worn striped couch as she waited for Atem to join her. The ornate door was propped open with a book, and a blanket spread out nearby had a plate of simple sandwiches placed in the middle, and plastic bottles of water stood up not far away. Her eyes were starting to feel a bit heavy; she was still exhausted from her training session with Hakkai, not to mention sore, bloodied, and bruised. The only visible injuries were her bloodied knuckles and a bruise on her thigh that her stockings couldn't hide, but under her dark green sweater dress her side, her left arm, her shoulder, and her lower legs ached with new bruises.
She wasn't entirely sure why Atem had decided that he wanted to be just with her all of the sudden, but she wasn't about to complain. She missed spending time with him, and this mess made her even more clingy than usual. She laid her head back against the back of the couch, breathing in deeply and staring up and the exquisitely molded ceiling.
