Grimmer was certain there hadn't been that many flowers under that tree before. Interested by another change in the setting, however small it may be, he decided that the library could wait until he'd looked at this.

He hadn't thought there would be a person under there. It was ridiculous, but poetic, like one of those paintings of Ophelia and such. Grimmer recognized the boy, too, Labrador, the one who had wanted to return to "Barsburg."

It didn't explain the flowers. But it'd be a waste to wake someone sleeping so peacefully.

Labrador stirred a bit, feeling a little cold and the flowers grow taller then bent over to cover him, their vines wrapping round him gently.

That was not expected. Grimmer started, stepping slightly back.

The boy must have some form of...magic, relating to plants.

Labrador curled up more and sighed softly in his sleep. He slept for a while longer then he woke up and opened his eyes drowsily, not yet regsitering Grimmer's presence.

Grimmer waited a moment before speaking, to be certain that Labrador was in fact waking up. When the boy opened his eyes, Grimmer put on a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry I woke you up."

"Oh!" Labrador quickly sat up, rubbing at his eyes and shaking the leaves out of his hair. "It's alright. Can I help you?"

"No, no, not at all," Grimmer said, holding his hands up placatingly, smiling still.

But he glanced over the boy, sharp eyes taking in details. "Are you alright?"

He yawned a bit then nodded. "I'm fine. I... tend to do this quite often, I'm afraid. I'm sorry if I've alarmed you."
