No more. He could bear it no more. The bindings that held him to this bed, the darkness that clouded his mind, blackened his days, made the nights an eternity. The memories of the fire, the heat, the screams, his family's pain and suffering. His own screams. The rebuke on his father's lips as the flames engulfed the house.
The eyes of the doctor that treated him. The detached care that he gave, the unprofessional visits late at night. His hands.
