Author's Note: Written for < lj user="fuda_100">'s "AU". Featuring an AU where a young Muraki did not survive his brother attacking him.
"So you're a Guardian of Death?" the pale young man asked, looking up at Tsuzuki, the violet-eyed man leading him into the Hall of Judgment.
"Yep, it's my job to see that you get to your place in the afterlife, but where that'll be, that's up to the King of Hades".
Muraki-kun nodded, reaching into his pocket for the glasses he no longer needed. "I see. I hope then that he's a fair judge.
"Did you..." He stopped, pale eyes shadowed.
"Come for your parents' souls? Yes, that wasn't easy, if it's any consolation."
"It will do."
