It's always the little things that lead into the making of a legend: they just don't seem legendary at the time that it's happening.
Never let Moist help with hooking up the washing machine when you've moved into a new place: Billy found that out the hard way, which resulted in a fried washing machine (though there were some salvageable parts in the wreckage). Meaning he'd have to bring his laundry to the coin-op laundromat in the neighborhood. Not a bad thing: he needed to get out of the lab once in a while and get some air that didn't smell of ozone and chemicals.
Penny was lucky enough to find a decent-priced apartment in a complex in a decent enough neighborhood close by the shelter where she was working. But there was always the issue of the creeper who lurked in the laundry room. Any hour she went down there, Harry the handsy was down there, waiting for her. She was used to working with the not always balanced, but when the troublemaker was practically in her own living space, she had to find a way around that. Fortunately, she found a coin-op laundromat while handing out fliers.
That's where Billy spotted the cute, sweet-natured redheaded girl...
