Update on the suspension deal
Copy/Pasting this from my comment to Amanda in her LJ post as it encompasses what I'd want to say...
Apparently Gwen's email to her advisor asking "WTF!?" was enough to be considered her "appeal" and she's back in for the Fall. Still on Academic Probation but that was expected anyway.
Yeah. She was told that summer semester does count as probation and that's why she got the letter of suspension. However, she was only up there for Track B and wasn't even full time with only 5 credits... so how could they even consider that her "probation" period?
Fucking retarded. I think they realized they fucked up and used that as the excuse. As Will has found out with Compass and working with the rest of MTU... it's never their fault and they'll pin it on you if it's even remotely feasible.
