I have confirmed the hypothesis proposed by Scott and I for years:

There really is no good time to head through Chicago. It just sucks.

But this time, I was there to help move my bro into his new apartment uptown. So my entire weekend has been helping him get his shit from one place to the next.

( Needless to say, it was a long weekend )

I hate driving through Chicago. I try to go in the middle of the night when I can, otherwise I bypass it. It may take an hour longer to go around Chicago, but at least I'm fucking moving and people aren't trying to kill me.

As far as the puns... Nothing wrong with puns during a long trip.

Some times are better than others, but I've only ever driven through Chicago, not gone to it. 1:00am is pretty nice. 4th of July in tornadoes and hailstorms is about the worst shit in the world.

The useless mom for some reason reminded me of something that happened at work. A box of solder paste had to be shipped in a hurry, so I was told to go get it from the freezer. When the sales manager told me to have a guy get it next time, since it was a somewhat large box, I held my tongue in her old-fashioned presence. A 20-lb box I can carry without a problem, and gee, think the guys might actually have their OWN damn work to do?

Those puns are funny as hell. My dad and I can hold our own on a few as well. Makes my mom crazy.
