Well this should prove to be interesting.

Actually, shit ain't all that bad. But just went through one of my long days. One wednesday down... 13 more to go and a lot of sleepless nights. So here's a bit of a rundown of what I'm doing this semester.

Most days, I'm starting out at 8 in the morning. Only on Tuesday do I get to sleep in until my 10am lab. That's not the bothersome part... it's the fact that I don't get done typically until 5pm either. There's breaks all over the place, but it typically means I won't waste my time headin back to the dorms, so looks like a bit of time chilling in the office or working on things in say Fisher or something. But at least the classes this semester... they definitely will seem to prove interesting.

EC4620 - Energy Economics
Basically there's no book... the class has been writing it for the past three years. So everything's online, few things to read, but it's rather basic information on the economy of the energy industries and seems like it could prove to be a somewhat interesting course, while still staying doable.

EET2141 - Digital/Microprocessor Basics
Nassar is boring, I'll give him that. But all the notes are online, and the subject matter is what I did in Digital Logic. Boolean Algebra, Karnaugh mapping, binary conversion with multiplication/subtraction/division/addition tossed in. Logic circuits with the same ol' logic gates... and best of all, this class will replace the old grade from Digital Logic as well, helping the GPA even further.

EET3225 - Special Electronic Devices
This one could be one of the few that seems it may take a bit of effort, although the book is rather short, and the subject matter is easily explained by Anderson. So I'm not particularily worried, except that it's my 8am class most days... so it's just about wakin' up.

EET3281 - Electronic Project Development/Troubleshooting
One recitation on Wednesday, one 3 hour lab on thursday... 3 projects. We're going to build a traffic light, an audio amplifier, and a power supply. Bit of teamwork, bit of working on your own... either way, the practical knowledge and the steps taken in the development will probably make this one of my more interesting courses this semester. And no book!

EET3353 - Sensors, Data Acquisitions, and Control
Big fancy name for a class which basically is tailored towards just teaching the people in it how to use Labview. That's it. Granted, I'm expecting the labs to pose a challenge, and it'll still be a bit of work, but learning software and how to use and control it isn't all that shabby.

... and now the two co-requisite classes that I added in because I needed to get the PE credits in, and its one of the more interesting choices...

EH2580 / PE1580 - Water Safety Instructor / Skills
At first, thought this class would be a simple "we teach you shit, you take a test, bam... certified" or something like that. But then I got the syllabus today... and there's actually a lot to cover, presentations during the semester, and even in the last two weeks... putting everything we learned over the semester to use actually teaching people. Only troublesome part is that it turns out the "TBA" for the second meeting time of the week conflicts with a lab... but it conflicts with 3353. So it conflicts with a class about learning software... this is doable. Should definitely make life interesting, and the courses will be a refresher, but also a learning experience as well.

In the end, the semester is packed, I'm at 19 credits, and the 9 hours straight on Thursday is going to hurt.

It should be fun.
