The news from the shallower end of the gene pool just gets stranger.
Today’s news break… maniac cuts off his ‘ahem’ in public pizza restaurant in down town London. Diner’s watch in shock and horror as panic ensues.
You may think I just made that one up, but the truth is, this s late breaking news from London, where the police arrived on the scene to find a man (estimated age 35, nationality possibly Polish) suffering from severe self-inflicted wounds of the most horrific type.
One diner reported that he had been dining at the pizza restaurant with his girlfriend when the man came running in burst into the kitchen grabbed a knife, started waving it around and then jumped on a table and dropped his trousers. Once he had done this, he proceeded to cut off his penis. There was blood everywhere, and the valiant staff attempted to help diners out of the area, several were treated by the paramedics for shock.
The man in question was subdued and he and his detached member were taken to a hospital where an attempt was made to reattach the organ. This was the first of this type of surgery ever performed in London.
(Might I suggest they speak to the surgeons who reattached Mr. Bobbitt’s ?)
Regardless, this news hit me as the ‘OMG’ type where I had to fight the urge to scream. Not in horror over the story but for gods sake has everybody on the planet taken a crazy pill or something like? Since so many people in so many places seem to be running amok.
People think those of us who ‘escape’ into role playing or online gaming are not facing reality. I have news for you, most of us are way too aware of reality and the things happening there, and it makes us HIGHLY UNCOMFORTABLE!
(I must remind myself if it is NOT on the comic section I have to stop reading it, the problem is that I am an avid reader and if it has printed words on it there is a better than 99.9% chance that I will read it just because there are words written on it. Terrible to confess but it is true.)
