Yay for Lena Horne...
Lena Horne's birthday was Wednesday, I think? Or maybe Tuesday. She turned 88. And today, she was on the rerun of "A Different World." It made me happy because she's such a great icon and role model, especially for what I wanna do. I wish that one day I could play her in a movie...obviously my appearance would have to change (i.e. improve) significantly before then, lol. If you don't know who she is, here is a picture of her:
Some of her hugest movies were "Stormy Weather" and "The Wiz." She played Glenda - the Good Witch, in that one. If you're not familiar with her work, I highly recommend it to you. She's awesome!
