Karma will get you every time
Well, the clouds opened up and dumped on us for two solid days. Seriously. It started raining the very second that J opened up the bag of charcoal. Good news is that we have cooked out sunce then AND invited "the mom" to come and join us. Naturally she declined but at least I know she and I are still on speaking terms.
Haven't heard anything out of Danny since the last time I wrote in this. This weekend will be a real test. The town picnic starts on Friday afternoon and ends Saturday night. He's called the police about the "noise" from the church gospel sings that have been at the park so I'm sure this will be no different.
Anxious to get the picnic under way. I think I'm stressing too much about it. If everyone comes through who has volunteered to donate items and/or help out in the kitchen, everything will be cool.
Strange stuff happened at town hall the other day that concerns me as a councilwoman. Apparently Marsha H. found $$ in the safe that should have been deposited a long time ago. Checks and money orders that were dated months and even years ago and are worthless now. Bill either called (gray area) Doug and Patty or they happened to show up around the same time Marsha found the money.
Bill repremanded Wanda (her 2nd such) and she got a lawyer.

She got in the safe and placed the MO's & checks in her private bag. Marsha saw them and told Patty (more gray area). Bill didn't want to call the State Police becuase it would draw bad attention to the town.
Wanda had the written repremand and took it to a lawyer who told her not to sign it cuz that would mean an admission of guilt.
??!!DUH!!?? Seems to me if the $$ wasn't deposited like it is supposed to be every day, then no, she wasn't doing her job.
Anyway, with Patty, Doug, Marsha and Bill all being there, they called an executive meeting .... NOT calling me, Joy or Frank in about this. I don't even know if they know what happened yet.
I should call another one so the rest of us can get the full story.
Bill said at his first meeting ... "There will no longer be any secrecy in town hall"
Hhmmm ... I wonder if he was serious about that?
I only found out because Tommy jumped me over it at the store thursday, then I went to town hall friday morning early and talked to Jimmy about it.
