*novels dutifully added to watch/basket at both Amazons* If what Russell semi-joked about during the podcast for TND is any indication, I wouldn't necessarily assume these are the last Ten books. I could easily see the BBC taking up the old 'Missing Adventures' mantle and continuing to publish Ten-era books so long as they're popular. If they can keep churning out Martha books well after that ship has sailed, I don't know why they'd abandon Ten so quickly.
*still irritated they wasted a Donna novel on crap that happened during the third series, can you tell?*
I can see why they mightn't want to open up a Ten II/Rose can of worms, but I'd love to see those become books or audios or both. Same thing with what Rose was going through leading up to Turn Left.
Speaking of which, and not that you're not busy with other stuff, but I have a fic challengesque post here about TL, and another post that could be construed as a fic challenge, especially for fellow Old Schoolers.
My take on the DVD thing being outed is that it's meant to be a signal for people to start writing to seriously beseech the Beeb (or whomever) to get their act together.
I'm not sure how a Stateside Hamlet run would fit in alongside the filming schedule for Who. If the filming dates for the Easter special are any indication, the other specials will also need to start filming about three months before airdate. Unless the next 2009 specials aren't airing until, say, Christmas, that leaves a rather petite window for a US Hamlet. Although it's possible they might film back-to-back or close to back-to-back for Easter and whatever the next special is (I'd assume the August bank holiday).
Given the length of time DT was out, I'm not surprised he's getting swamped now. This is basically all the relatively local people who would've come out on other nights being crammed into just a few dates.
I'm sure he'll take a kerfuffle at the door over being a virtual prisoner inside the theatre like he was in Stratford, though. I hope the new theatre comes with secret escape tunnels!

Unfortunately, there's precedent. They switched over to Ten fairly quickly, and given what I know now about Moffatt, I think it's a fairly good bet that the switch will be made next January, or there won't be a release at that time.

From what I've read, there's been TONS of letters, but the main opposition is seemingly coming from DT. Not sure why.

Has anyone said what the filming schedule will be? I was under the assumption that everything would be filmed together.
That sucks about your wrist! Aigh.
Yeah, it sucks, but it's not surprising. The right wrist has been surgerized x2 already. It's just bad timing. Plus, it's difficult to type one-handed. *grimaces*

I had heard it was an issue on the end of the potential broadcaster, but who knows? If Sir Ian McKellen was willing to do Lear, I don't know why DT wouldn't be willing to do a filmed Hamlet or LLL.

The Easter special starts filming 19 January. I've seen/heard nothing to indicate anything other than the Easter special is being filmed at that time, although I certainly don't work for the Beeb.

Dunno. I have no idea what the hangup involves, but it looks like there's going to be massive finger-pointing.

I dunno - it really wouldn't make economic sense to break up the filming, or have two units working after filming starts in July for S5. *ponders*
That's supposed to be Jack's line! ;)
Har, har. At least it's the left. Life was pretty miserable when my right hand (I see another pun coming in my very near future - actually two. At least two.) was out of commission.
Why am I having flashbacks to the Castle Argh sequence from Holy Grail?
Castle Anthrax? I dunno. Are you thinking because of the audience? 'Cause they'll be trying really hard Not To Be Seen.
We can has Mexican standoff? *sigh*
Looks that way, unfortunately.
I would be astonished if S5 starts filming in July. They don't appear to be doing this year's Christmas special.
Isn't that because one of the specials with Ten will be shown at Christmas?
Not a southpaw then. This must be particularly frustrating in your line of work!
Nope. There's several lefties in the family, but I'm not one of them. And it's not particularly frustrating, I just have to be careful. As long as I don't turn or bend the wrist while lifting something heavy, it's doable. If it's surgerized, it'd be splinted up big time for two weeks with no weight whatsoever. Having the right wrist out was worse, as I have to sign my name a few zillion times a day.
'Cause they'll be trying really hard Not To Be Seen.
Although they are substantially less likely to have high explosives used upon them if they are spotted or even suspected to be in a given location.
*now picturing Ten hauling himself up out of the hot springs, fishing a wheeled blackboard and pointer out of the jacket, and offering to conduct a lecture if they're all so interested, still standing there dripping wet and nekkid with his hands indignantly on his hips*
*after he finishes his strop, angry dimples included*
"Blimey, there's a bit of a draft in here!"
Isn't that because one of the specials with Ten will be shown at Christmas?
That is quite likely to be the case, from the looks of things at the mo. Given that the last Special is a two-parter (and whether that means one extra hour of Special, or it's replacing one of the other specials I don't know), best guesses at the moment have it two-partering either on Christmas and then New Year's, or somewhere thereabouts.

Ha! That'd have to be an omake, as Ten would be either a) busy, or b) passed out. *grins*
AS SOON as she gets photoshop running on Vista *headdesk* Working on that though. I keep getting their "tech office" during "out hours" even though they say they have tech support 24-7. LIARS!
*hughug* Welcome back!!!! I was wondering where you'd been.
Poor DT. XD; It seems no matter what career one chooses there well always be ONE thing that frustrates you about it. I'm sure he loves his fans but... sometimes their enthusiasm might be a bit unnerving. XD;
*gigglesnort* There's ways of remedying hands being out of commission... ;)

Oh? I'm waiting for the punchline now! *grins* Should I lock this post?
My concern is that it's not just a Vista Error. It may be the fact that it's a new computer and the program's been registerred one too many times... but the customer service guy couldn't help me with that... they keep having to switch me to Tec support. Tech support is only in Mon-Fri 8-5pm (even tho it says 24-7 :P) So I'm running into some issue getting ahold of them on MY schedule. Here's hoping Monday frees up. XD;
*COUGH COUGH*AGREES WITH PRIN CHAPTER6SEULS?*coughcough*
Yeah... I agree with Prin on that too.
XD; And That's what I was thinking. "You get someone else to 'take care' of you! :D" OR *grin* "I can't tell you what I'm thinking right now..."
Have you deactivated the program on your computer that you're no longer using? Transfer activation
If you are transferring an activated copy to a different or new computer, you can transfer the activation to the new computer. Go to the Help Menu of the application and choose Transfer Activation. You will need an internet connection to complete the activation transfer process. Upon completion of the activation transfer, your existing product installation will be rendered unusable, and you will be able to install and activate the copy on the new computer.
Have you been doing your install as an administrator on your machine? If you're trying to install it as a regular user, you probably don't have sufficient privileges for everything Photoshop needs to do.
Have you tried copying the install folder to the desktop and running it from the desktop (again, as an admin)?
