Whats the purpose of that?
This weekend just gone i went to Toowoomba to play with some of the guys from Brothers of the Occult Sisterhood at Bon Amici Cafe. Random as ever. But wonderful in ways its never kind of shown me before.
Sitting on the floor with three different cups of herbal tea, sharing. Walking through the rain at night and under the storm water drains. falling asleep on a couch at 6:30am. Coffee. I sat in front of a girl on the floor and played a song i had written for her and she followed me all the way back to Bisbane. I should have been at the Hospital visiting my Great Grandmother because she died yesterday afternoon, but, like Ian told me,no matter who it is that dies there's always something you haven't said or done.
So Saturday i'll find myself running back to Toowoomba for the Funeral when i'd much rather leave Toowoomba as it was on the weekend, never to return....it could stay pretty in my head.....like i have that much self control. Ha.
In the mean time I'm playing a solo show and DJing at Ric's tonite for what will be Blonde Cobra's final show.
Thursday night im playing at the zoo in Ben Frost's Guitar Orchestra then playing with I/O Expanded with Damo Suzuki from Can singing.
Friday evening im playing the visible Ink solo show - you know, the one that might not be at Visible Ink anymore? I'll keep you posted. Followed closley by The Rational Academy headlining Ric's with Ambitious Lovers @ 11pm.
