Dancing with Pirates (Lucid Dream)

I dream that I am taking a nap in my parent's bed in my childhood home. I wake up and walk into the living room, and there are two people I do not recognize sitting on the couch. I ask them who they are and what they are doing there. This prompts me to do a "Common Sense" reality check. Yes, there are any thing in my environment, besides the dream characters who do not belong there logically nor have they ever been there. For instance, there are two outdoor charcoal grills standing next to each other just inside the hallway. All of the objects in my environment are bizarre. I claim out loud "This must be a dream!" I am very excited, as I haven't had a lucid dream in awhile, and I have been frustrated.
I look at my hands. The letters I drew on my hand aren't there, and I have a silver ring on my thumb. I never wear jewelry. As I watch, my thumb becomes my wrist. This bizarre behavior affirms that yes, this is indeed a dream. I really have to calm myself down,so that I don't wake up. I am very excited and deliriously happy. I can't remember what my intention was, what I wanted to dream about. So I decide to fly. I launch out the front door into the dark night. I am wearing a short sleeve shirt, and I can feel the cool, balmy wind caress the hairs on my arm. I get worried that when I fly into some electrical lines that I will become entangled in them. I affirm to myself "I am dreaming", and then decide to turn myself invisible in order to not run into the electrical lines. Unfortunately, this results in me being dream blind. Either that, or I have flown into such a dark sky that I can't tell up from down. So I decide to use to spin technique to change my dream.
I spin on the heel of my foot in midair with my eyes shut, thinking of a dream I would like. I think a silly romance novel about Pirates on the seven seas sounds nice. A Pirate grabs my wrist and stops my spinning. I am on the deck of a galleon and he pulls me in for a kiss. His whiskers are very scratchy on my lips. The detail is always so interesting to me. Then I wake.
Oh, Why does Sleeping Beauty always have to wake from such dreams?
