arrrrrrrrrrrrgh! Sometimes I hate the professors here. Once again, much like last semester, people started ragging on catholics again and I was trying really hard to not say anything and hoping the lecture would get back on track, but it didnt. So because my prof thought the Catholic chruch could be boiled into "it's basically a representative of Christ right?", I tried to explain that the church is more a vehicle for the word of God and a structure for the faith etc. Then he responds with "I thought Peter was basically a representative of Christ and he started the church". Which is a really weird interpretation of Peter, and then he says "and he didn't ever get paid back for that did he?" (that being starting the church apparently). Me: "Well they cannonized him, made him a saint, and named many many things after him". Prof: "well yes but he was also crucified, upside down. Which if you're being crucified is the best way to be crucified." Me: ???(silent because I have no idea what horrible path of conversation we've now stumbled down). It just wasn't fun. I don't like getting all uppity about being catholic because lord knows I'm sort of a sucky catholic anyways. But when people just say stuff that's completely wrong like that.............ay ay ay, no me gusta los profesores idiotos. Que frustrado.

In Other News: Sex and the City was hilarious and fantastic last night, and then You've Got Mail was on right after it! Can you say double whammy? It was lovely. Also it confirmed that I am a huuuuge sap. But who didn't already know that?
