(no subject)
well my snap pants are broken. i need a sewing kit or some way of reattaching the one snap that broke off. it's like those strings of christmas lights, when one bulb (snap) goes bad it ruins the whole chain. so dang.
my spanish prof is cuban-american and extremely fluent in both english and spanish. so much so that in the middle of sentences she switches languages. craaaaazy. that's how good i hope to be one day. maybe after I intern in Madrid. which would also be fantastic. I'm a study abroad junkie and I haven't even gone on one yet!
My history prof is also quite the character. The class is in Holmes and he refered to the far walk by saying "I know we all have excuses for being late, I had to slay dragons on the way over here" riiiight. He also is a big fan of making eye contact while he's talking which is going to take some getting used to.
and last but not least there is emmet. who unbeknownst to me (or rather I totally forgot because I didn't pay attention during lecture last year) has a VERY pronounced lisp. but kim and I are doing the collaborative project together which is bound to produce a great deal of quotes and funny stories. we're like a sexy college co-ed version of odd couple. or at least we would be if all of our jokes didnt only make sense to each other or other people who watch Vh1 more than they ought to. naked drunk peeing midget anyone?
now the jobs look like they're going to work out so far, hours wise and everything. but the orientation for tutoring put the fear of God into me. Since I'm now an employee of the athletic dept. anything I do wrong (including giving my tutee a nickel or even a penny to buy pop- that's considered an extra benefit) could bring abot the complete destruction of the athletic dept and eventually the university.

but as always I'm optimistic about the semester. Check back in a few weeks when reality has set in, I haven't showered and I have collapsed under the weight of the HUUUUUge amount of books I have to read.
