Well, some semi-good news. Our TV that wasn't working had apparently gotten unplugged at some point. I am not sure why the screen and sound was funky before it stopped working completely, but either way it is working perfectly again now. Thank goodness for small things, at least we don't have to worry about replacing it right away (we hadn't planned to anyway, we were gonna just hook up the old one till we move). yeah, thats all.
