I Wanna F-You Like An Animal
Me and Felicia are getting very close to setting a wedding date. We got the year and the month. We're having problems figuring out the day.
But we do know the following things:
1. It's gonna be a tiny affair. We both agree we don't want huge weddings with a billion people and we don't wanna get dressed up for it. All of that sucks. We just want some dude with some authority tell us "Bada bing, you're married" we go "yay", eat, and go on with our lives. I do, however, want a few people there, like my friends and at least my parents and Jenny. And honestly, people who spend like a million dollars towards a wedding kinda get on my nerves. I mean it's just one freakin' day. And all that money for what? A statue that spits out wine and chocolate? Screw that noise. Give me some beer, some steaks, and close friends and family and I'm set.
2. We wanna do the gift registry thing, but since we're inviting so few people, I dunno who all will be getting us stuff? Something I gotta go over with her. Maybe we'll just have like a big party afterwards with tons of booze and everybody we know or something. Anyway, Felicia's favorite store in the whole wide world is Target so we'll probably register our stuff there. I'll probably end up going nuts and putting big screen TV's and grills. And she'll put shoes and clothes or something.
3. We want it to happen in Spring, so it'll be Spring 2010. Gah, it's gonna be 2010. That's like...the future. Where are the flying cars and helpful robots? And...oh god I'm gonna be 30. Lord help me.
So back to the gift registry thing. I find that whole thing kinda funny. Cause normally we wouldn't buy random crap for other people. But because they're getting married, it's ok? And why is it only for weddings? Why isn't it for like birthdays or something? People don't know what to get other people for birthdays, works the same for weddings.
I remember one time, a long time ago, I was with my ex-girlfriend and she had to shop for her friend's wedding. She pulled up the gift regristy (I think it was at a Target now that I think about it) and there was some weird crap on there, like an egg yolk breaker thing or something. I'm like "What?" I think she ended up getting some towels or something. Anyway.
To any married people reading this, did you have a fancy wedding? Did you do the gift registry thing? What was on there? And what about Scarecrow's brain???
