Nothing is ever as easy as it should be.

Well, it was sunny today so I started ripping apart the rear strut. Ran into some issues with it, didn't have some tools we needed. Ended up going into the nearest town to buy some sockets for the impact drill. Don't want to get into all the details but we spent about 6 hours doing what should have taken less then an hour. I guess these are the factory originals so they've been on the car for 16 years. The rusty bolts did not want to come free and the retaining nut on top of the strut would not come off at all. Ended up ripping it out of the car and using a grinder to cut the nut in half and even then it took half an hour with a cold chisle knocking each half of the nut off the threads. Getting it back together wasn't nearly as hard as getting it apart but the other side will have to wait till next week. I'm exhausted.

My dad was really good to me today. He helped out, dragged out the air compressor and tools that I don't have to make the job easier and of course, he's stronger then me so he used his Popeye arms to do some of the things I never could have done without him. *hugs dad*

1 side down, 1 side to go... some other time. For now, cold shower (it was hot outside and after putting the car back together, we had to empty a trailer of firewood because the tires went flat and need replaced), cold drink and some food before playing WoW for the evening.
