The justice system sucks.
I'm a day late on LJ, but I did post something about this on Tumblr yesterday: Dharun Ravi.
I’m so disgusted with the justice system in this country. Casey Anthony gets off for murdering her baby. Now, Dharun Ravi gets off almost scott free (30 days in jail, $10,000 fine and 3 years probation) for his part in the death of Tyler Clemente. Probation? 30 days in jail (which he probably will barely serve)? $10,000? Hell, I have $10,000 in the bank. This is complete and total bullshit. His bullying, invasion of privacy and action directly caused that poor boy’s death. I would have rather they deported his disgusting self rather than the shit he got served with. Yeah, he was found guilty, but in my eyes, justice wasn’t even close to being served.
