This week's pictures

I need to get on the ball here and post these on time. I only have one day of internship left and I'm done for this semester!

As like last week, we only had time to watch one movie.

Bolt 2008 - Featuring the voices of John Travolta and Miley Cyrus, this animated adventure (nominated for a Best Animated Feature Oscar and Golden Globe) centers on a dashing German shepherd named Bolt, a canine actor forced into making an action-filled cross-country trek when he's accidentally shipped from Hollywood to New York. Believing that he and his fictional character are one and the same, Bolt gets a glimpse of what it takes to be a hero in the real world.

I actually had no desire to see this movie and had no idea what it was about. Then we watched it at the Boys & Girls Club and we didn't get to finish it and I had to see it. I loved it! It was so adorable. Shelly if you haven't seen this one with the kids yet...go get it right now!

Monday - Me dressed up ready for work looking in my $20 mirror. I'm holding the foosball I accidentally took home on Friday. When I went to return it all the kids were hanging on me begging me not to leave/come back tomorrow/or the day after? or the day after? I told them I had to go to work and one asked me if I teach people how to dance. When I went on Friday the same girl asked me where my skirt was, I told her I like to wear jeans when I work there and she told me I look better in the skirt, lol. last week I had a conversation like this:
Kids: oh, you smell like a hospital, have you been to a hospital?
Me: no, but I put on some suntan lotion.
Kids: you smell like a hospital.
Me: it's just my lotion.
Kids: you were at a hospital. (like, end of story, and they were smelling me the whole time)

Tuesday was play day. It was The Blonde, The Brunette, and the Vengeful Redhead and it was a one-woman show where she played six or seven different characters. The set was really cool with all kinds of hidden cubbyholes for costumes and props.

On Wednesday we celebrated Seis de Mayo with a delicious recipe from the Biggest Loser cookbook called Chicken Pile-Up. And we had Mikearitas.

On Thursday we wandered around downtown with some friends looking at a public art installation. Basically they made all these designs on the sides of buildings with tape. I decided to become part of the art.

On Friday I got a new car stereo in my car so I can stop listening to the same five songs on the radio. And now I can plug in my iPOD, yes!

On Saturday Curtis and I went to the UMBC vs UNC lacrosse game for the first round of the NCAA Championships. We lost 15 to 13 but it was a good game...we need to be more aggressive!

On Sunday, I did more yardwork, like I seem to do every weekend. This time it was mowing the backyard, weedwacking, and then pruning the bushes that were overtaking the sidewalk. Now I guess I have to prune the rest so our landscaping doesn't look so unbalanced.
