i havent had a day of rest...
so one of the things that i got for christmas is a book called Weird U.S. . and i was looking through it and the shoe house in this entry is mentioned in it. but even better than that is that hell house in ellicott city was mentioned. yay! i was looking through the book and then i got all excited because i had been to two places in it.
so i was thinking about when i could just do nothing and i realized that i dont have that option. take a look at my christmas vacation:

Saturday, Dec 18th - spend 13 hours in four airports and one two different planes. finally arrive in baltimore around 12:30 am on Sunday which amazingly is on time.
Sunday, Dec 19th - church in the morning (a christmas concert with handbells and singing). reception following the church. go to jen's house and hang out for a bit. go to the texas roadhouse in pasadena for my birthday. then we go to the martina mcbride concert.
Monday, Dec 20th - spent the day running around and buying christmas presents for my stepmother to give to my dad. i couldnt imagine it would be that hard to find white handkerchiefs.
Tuesday, Dec 21st - dentist appointment in the morning. hang out with my mom for the day including Applebee's for my birthday.
Wednesday, Dec 22nd - go pick up erin and then meet Sheng at Arundel Mills. Lunch at Fuzio's and then see Spanglish.
Thursday, Dec 23rd - go to Kim's in the morning to exchange gifts.
Friday, Dec 24th - wrap presents and do other stuff around the house. christmas eve service at chuch followed by turkey sandwiches and feverish knitting.
Saturday, Dec 25th - christmas morning was at my house. we had dinner around 3ish and then i went to my aunt's house to see my mom and my grandmom.
Sunday, Dec 26th - fly to tampa
Monday, Dec 27th - Barnes & Noble then rented movies with curtis.
Tuesday, Dec 28th - go to the manatee viewing center then dinner at chili's with a friend then saw ocean's twelve. which was pretty good except for a few parts that were over the top.
Wednesday, Dec 29th - spent some time at the mall, bought Donnie Darko, visited people at Famous Footwear. then lunch at this italian restaurant that we had a coupon for. then we drove around for a while and got to the beach to watch the sunset, wander around, and take pictures. then maggie moo's for dessert. then back home where we watched the eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, which i enjoyed.
Thursday, Dec 30th - fly back to baltimore
Friday, Dec 31st - lunch with Eli, then party with Michelle and Amanda from AmeriCorps and maybe Erin (?).
Saturday, Jan 1st - Aunt Fudge and Uncle Bob are having a party.
Sunday, Jan 2nd - exchanging some christmas gifts
Monday, Jan 3rd - my only possible resting day but i might be visiting loch raven to see mrs. falcone
Tuesday, Jan 4th - fly back to Sac at 6:30 am.
and it's really hard to not think about the end of the world when there's been a tsunami that's destroyed so much. it's just hard to imagine these things happen. and then when you finally convince yourself that it's real...it's scary.
