Who didn't find out about MJ over the internets?
I found out about the cardiac arrest via internets but figured he'd get a pacemaker or whatever he needed and all would be well. A little later, I found out he actually died from a staff member at preschool.
We all are so (overly) informed these days...I'm lookin' at you Jon and Kate.
I remember back in the days of news hitting the AP wire and the rest of us finding out at 6pm when the news aired, or via the radio, like how we found out Elvis died. I went with my mom to her doctor's appointment when she was pregnant with my little brother and we found out on the car ride home. Princess Diana...found out on the capitol square during the Taste of Madison.
I didn't text any of my friends when I found out about MJ, however. On the tributes last night, it was sad to watch that then and now transformation that has been overly documented from his ground breaking MTV phenom days. We all loved his hot, moonwalkin' self with his real nose and wanted a replica of that red jacket. The man-child whose interpersonal skills were arrested when he hit the fame at age 10...RIP.
