So, for the past three days I've been in Steamboat, Colorado. It was without a doubt up in my top 5 most fun things I have ever done. We drove down tuesday night, under the hoping of there actually being 15" of snow, but upon arrival, it was to our horrific discovery that it hadn't snowed at all. Jimmy, Danny, and I were in a state of distress, NO SNOW? We had no choice to wait it out til morning to see if there would be any snow on the mountain. Of course as skiers we live healthy, so of course we made sure to get a lot of greens in our diet, along with awesome meals of fetticuni and pesto prepared by Jimmy. Wednesday was none to impressive, but we managed to find some good skiing in the trees. The prediction of 280% was a little inaccurate, but we survived and were back at the condo in the hot tub by 5. We then had dinner, watched Dazed and Confused, and had a nice time. Jimmy went to bed while Danny and I watched the Weather Channel until 1am waiting for snow. No snow happened so we went to bed. However this morning when we got up there was amazing snow and it was still storming on the mountain. The snow was abosolutly amazing asaide from the minor detail of Easter vacationers. They were easily avoided by skiing in the trees the whole. Today was AMAZING. Until 1 when I ended up hurting my knee. (Don't know what is wrong with it, so I am going to a doctor.) Then we went back to the condo, ate more awesome lunch cooked by Jimmy, but then we hot tubbed again. Then we cleaned and slacked around until 9 when we ordered pizza with Artichokes, Mushrooms, Feta, and Mozzarela. Then we drove home. The roads were terrible all the way from Walden to Laramie. It's a damn shame that I hurt my knee and the roads were open otherwise we would still be there now.
All in all,
The two decisions I've come to in my life are:
1) I'll never quit skiing so long as I have the ability to shred.
2) Skiing would be my anti-drug, if they didn't go so well together.
