CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2006 STANLEY CUP CHAMPION CAROLINA HURRICANES!
OMG tonight was so AMAZING! The Game was so GREAT! It's hard to explain to non-hockey fans what winning this trophy means to players and to their fans. That trophy, to get to touch it and kiss it, to get to drink from it's bowl, to get your name etched on it .. it's really nearly impossible for me to describe why the Stanley Cup isn't JUST some trophy like how they have in all the other major sports.
Anyhow, I also want to Congratulate the Edmonton Oilers, I cannot begin to image how it is in Edmonton tonight. Some Oilers players were crying on the bench(Heart breaking to see) and I know that their fans, although they have seen 5 Cups(although none in the last 16 yrs) wanted this one as badly as anyone. It's almost a shame that someone had to lose.

oh oh Cam Ward was named Playoff MVP, the youngest rookie to win the award since Patrick Roy in 1986 =) What was HILARIOUS is that Cam is SO calm and has been SO calm all of the Post Season and yet during his post-game interview when he was done responding to a question he was BOUNCING in his seat! OMG it was so freaking funny because I thought I was imagining it but

Todd Harvey cried, sigh. He was a former Ranger and a likeable guy so I feel bad for him indeed.
I think the toughest thing is to be the losing team, watching the other team celebrate because you can't leave until you shake hands. Some guys as you can see, chose to watch the other teams and others try to look at anything BUT the celebration.
Wonder where Jussi goes from here. He was brilliant in the 6 games he played, will the Oilers resign Roloson or go with Jussi?
