Oi Meredith(Bottom) ... Go Swedes!(Top)
First, I made an earlier post going all CRAZY over Sweden winning the Gold Medal in Hockey ... But alas, it hasn't posted, I did it through email .. how HATEFUL! Anyhow I want to congratulate the Rangers Goalie, Henrik Lundqvist, who was the reason the Fins didn't tie the game at the end but oh dear I just wanted to give almost all(except for that idiot Ruutu) the Finnish players a hug, they all looked so sad and dejected, specially Teemu *Huggles* I mean look at him >>> HERE I mean *HUGS*
In contrast Lundy was all smiles(he's the one on the left)
God I love that man ... He is so amazing and gorgeous, and talented, and has a personality, and gorgeous, and such a leader and gorgeous ... sigh ... I loved the celebration, men get to show their man love towards each other without having to worry about it lol ... but as you saw in the last pic, those two were brothers so get your mind out of the gutter peeps!
The Rangers play on Thursday, Lundy will not get the start as the team wants to give him the extra rest as his team is headed to Sweden for a celebration and then the players will head to their respective NHL and/or European teams for the rest of the season ... I am UBBER excited since my team had won 6 straight games and was 8-1-1 in their last 10 ... I just hope we continue to play like this cause once you are winning all the time you really do not like losing, AT ALL...
Of course we had a new GA Epi tonight, next week are the Oscars so I think no new GA for at least two weeks, THE HORROR! I have to say ...
Poor George
But at the same time is it wrong for me to sympathize with Meredith and not be angry at her? I just feel that she is a very real character ... She is flawed, she has issues, she wants love, and goodness her explanation to George at the end was heartbreaking honest and true and I think it took a bit of the anger out of George but not the hurt, obviously ... However I do not really think that he is angry at her anymore over what happened. The way that she explained it to him made sense ... Their friendship? I think, that by her being honest with him and telling him why she didn't want to have sex once they started she salvaged it ... Not right now but in the long run George will be able to look back and save their friendship. I do have to wonder how Izzie will be toward Mer now that George has moved out(into Cristina's and Burke's of all places, hilarity) ... She was downright mean to Mer when she told him that she would be on George's side which you know, is understandable as Izzie is closer to George than she's ever been to Mer and I get that but what will she do? Ignore Mer in Mer's own house? Be mean to her in Mer's own house? I just really hope that Izzie takes George's lead(not by also leaving but by staying out of it) I mean I hope she doesn't try to fight George's battles and let's him and Mer figure things out ...
Other things ... The Poison Oak ... BWAHAHAHAHAHA I mean it was just hilarious, talk about Karma .... But in a way I thought it would be the thing that would break the ice between her and Derek but Derek goes and takes the dog out for a walk with Meredith? Oh God, Meredith is playing with a time bomb ... I mean, they cannot be friends ... He HAS to know that ... I think it was ok when he and Mer were together and Addison wasn't in the picture .. But Addison is in the picture and he's decided to make his marriage work(whatever that means to him) but he loves Meredith and wants her in his life and he CANNOT have both, no matter how McDreamy he is .... I see lots of heartache ahead, which makes for great tv but poor characters ...
Izzie and Denny, they are awesome ... I really love him but Izzie is a bit hypocritical isn't she? Granted Alex isn't George and her sleeping with him and then turning around and blowing him off for another guy is not the same as Meredtih sleeping with George but Alex does have feelings and he does care for her even if he doesn't express those feelings in the best ways so her just basically throwing him aside like that was a bit wrong imo and sometimes I do not like the high horse she stands on ... But like I said, I love Denny so I hope he gets a new heart and sticks around unlike poor Dylan(the bomb guy)....
The Chief cracks me up, he is so not in control of what happens it is just hilarious to watch ... Cristina and Burke continue to be the most "Real" couple and yet all of them are real aren't they? In the way that they are because a lot of people are like them and would act like them in similar situations .. I loved Alex's open reflection of how Meredith is, which is the truth .. Then Cristina's view which was the same but the key is the George factor .. one thing is to sleep with strangers when you feel sad and self-destructive and another with a guy who is openly in love with you ... again, Mer's explanation to George made sense .. She wanted to try, and he said all the right things but when they got down to it she couldn't because there was nothing there and she felt horrible and unfortunately it didn't came out in the best way and her avoiding him afterward didn't help which made the situation 100 times worse than what it already was ... God I love this show ...
