mom visit
Gosh it was nice seeing my mom! She got to town around 2:30pm yesterday and we were able to hang out for about 6 hours before everyone decided to retire for the evening.
Mom and my step-dad are in love with their new RV - and it's really cozy. Jason can stand (6'6") up in it in most places, which is a plus although he has to hunch over in the shower. They are riding around Ohio for this next week in order to check out the RV features. Mom's 10 year old lab mix is not doing so well with the traveling - frankly she has slowed down a lot in the past year or so and I'm not sure how much longer she will be with us. My mom will be crushed when she passes away.
We ordered out Chineses food and had a fun and fulfilling dinner - with mom's birthday cake included. Mom was so surprised I got her cake and a birthday present ... her birthday is next week but since I won't see her then I decided to celebrate now.
I love my mom lots! It was fun spending time with her - it's sad to think thatI won't see her again for two months.
