It's been quite a weekend

My weekend has brought my Sounders high crashing down around me.

Battlestar Galactica. The more I think about Daybreak Part 2, the happier I am George Lucas was not involved to totally screw it up, still, I'm a little let down.  I guess I wanted something more tragic and Shakespearean. I'm especially aggravated after a conversation I had earlier today.  One that revolved around angels and God and the BSG conclusion, plus a few other ideas I don't subscribe to. If I read some Ron Moore blog and it turns out my friends' interpretation is on the money, I might explode.

Manchester United. WTF guys!? Now is not the time to self-destruct. Wayne, I love your passion and hotheadedness but now, really?  You are supposed to be a professional.  Start channeling all that Fabio Capello mumbo-jumbo again! I've no desire to see Manchester United blow it in the Prem, and end up choking.  Liverpool generally chokes. Why isn't that happening this season?

Seattle Sounders FC v. Chelsea. After reconciling my day planner with the Sounders schedule, I realized that I have a huge conflict with the Chelsea game. At first I was thrilled that my editing class did not fall on the weekend of the San Diego Comic-con; however, it does fall on the same day as the Chelsea/Sounders game. Great. Where would I rather be: in our seats at Qwest Stadium or in a bleak classroom in Blamer Hall? That's a no-brainer. What will I choose? I'll probably go to class because I have an over-developed sense of responsibility. Boo.

Rock of Love. My guilty pleasure.  I was hoping Beverly made it all the the the finals, and that Mindi would go home this week.  But no, Beverly is out. At least there are no blonds left for Bret to choose.

Not all, just most, is doom and gloom.  The Flyers beat the Pens today, and I was able to watch part of the 2nd and 3rd periods. My dog has been especially loving and sweet this weekend.  My NCAA bracket could be a lot worse.  All this despair resulted in a Firefly marathon and consumption of a bottle of red wine. I'm hoping same routine tonight will provide more comfort.
