yeah?
The year's starting off in quite a flurry. First day back in school was Aussy deathtosellouts 's 20th birthday (Ysab! Ikaw na sunod!) and had a mini party at the deck of prince david with some swimmin' and cake and a whole bilao of palabok. Because Aussy loves them. Hahaha. Then we went to an Itchyworms gig (!!!) at 70's Bistro and it was all sorts of surprises and love, love, love.
And then we couldn't sleep. Wah.
I like Starbucks Katip in the mornings, when there aren't that many people yet. You get to have a quiet conversation with your friend who hasn't slept that much either. Hahaha. I'm learning a lot from friends and my sister who are in relationships. I mean, I learn from the things that they're learning to. And I realized what it is I really want.
I've never been really good at the mind games, and that's because I hate them. So much so that when a guy plays mind games with me, I get turned off instantly. Why play games? Sheesh. It sounds silly but I actually find it appealing to marry a cop. You know those police officers who love their jobs, and just want to do it properly. (Not in the Philippines though. Think Gary from FRIENDS. Hahahaha. Sans the bird-shooting.) You know, those simple guys who know what they want and just go for it. You know, guys who actually have the balls to do so?
Why can't it just be simple all the time? Why can't we mean what we say and say what we mean?
Anyway, this made me think that I might just change my resolution. I want to be a simpler person. Not boring, mind you, just simpler. No pretensions. This is me. Except maybe, a nicer version.

Sophie: you know how they say that there're more fish in the sea?
Nikki: Yeah?
Sophie: Well, the fish in my sea are those angler fishes. The ones that look like they want to eat you?
Nikki: Yeah... mine is filled with little froglets that just won't grow up.
Sophie: Or like blowfish. You think they look good then they poof up all spikey and gross.
Nikki: HAHAHAHAHA.
