holding at the sheer drop of an uncertain aha
some muscles loosen
while others beat more rapidly:
betwixt functions running logical astigmatisms

while thumbs blink on each other
not quite twitching
but a sort of
m i r r o r i n g   t h o u g h t f u l l n e s s
fear and assurance
on both sides of a

shifting on a snareless drum.
