what a week so far...
the show monday was great. doves had by far the best (and most expensive) light show i have ever seen in a venue that small. i guess they had been used to playing much bigger arenas and they brought all their kit to cat's cradle. i had had "snowden" stuck in my head all that day, and of course that was the opener. "there goes the fear" was an absolute killer way to end a show. longwave was a lot better live than i expected, apparently their cd's are missing something. i should get their new cd...
the brothers auction on tuesday was way too long. if they're going to do that kind of thing at a meeting, i would suggest breaking it up and doing a little bit of the auction at several meetings. we got out so late no one wanted to get a beer with me, which is the only reason why i go to meetings...
southend last night was a lot of fun for me. i learned this week that beatles songs are really hard to sing, i guess those guys were pretty good. i'm thinking about repeating that set sometime in the near future, because victoria wants to sing harmony with me. that's the one thing i had when i played in blacksburg that i don't have now...
the rest of the week: thursday hockey game... friday ________... saturday tailgating then ncsu vs. unc then more tailgating... sunday hiking and the posies... phew! what a week!
