Scary thought of the month: I was perusing iTunes today when I came across One Hit Wonders of the 90's. Slap to the face, that's what it was. These were all songs I/we grew up to, singing to along with the radio or my walkman. Yeah, I had a walkman.
When did I grow up? Or I guess the better question would be, when did I grow older? Amazing.
I admitted defeat today, but you know what, it feels good. I'm done with it. Moving on. No longer in my hands. I'm happy.
I have a lot of catching up to do in the next few days, before things get really busy. I mean REALLY busy. Crunch time comes early this semester. But the exhale isn't far away.
Prediction for the weekend: tight game. Missouri runs a spread offense almost identical to Memphis, which means they'll probably garner even more yards on us than Memphis High did. Our defense just isn't that good, particularly against big, powerful wide receivers. And Missouri passed for big time yardage last weekend. The positive side? Our offense looked damn good. This will probably be the most balanced opponent we face all season, so if you're awake at 11:30 a.m., take a looksee on FSN, I think it'll be a good, high scoring contest. Look for Brent Schaeffer to be even more impressive. Look for BenJarvus GreenBluePurpleYellow-Ellis to have a big day as well. Dexter McCluster? Missouri D will have their eye on him, he'll be a letdown Saturday. Look for Missouri to throw the ball everywhere.
Remember, you heard it here first, but it's probably wrong.
I rest my case.
