I just found another fun community site: Bookmooch.com. It's a book sharing site, where you put up the books you want to get rid of, and look for books that other people might have. It's kind of like Bookcrossing, but without the ID numbers and the thrill of the hunt ( Read more... )

A new Random Walk Bookstore opened up on Teramachi street.... It's a nice, three-story English-language bookshop, with a VERY nice selection of, well, all kinds of things. Japanese lit, magazines, photobooks, sci-fi and all that. Looks like I never need to hit Junkudo again....

I promised myself I wouldn't buy more books until I finished the pile that I'd brought home from the States. As it is, I bought a new bookcase on Saturday.
