Curse my awkwardness!
So my edition of Norton Antivirus is going to expire soon and I don't have a credit card to renew it. I was hoping the Japanese Symantec site might have a thing where you can print out a bar code and pay at the convenience store, but I've been waiting for an hour for the web page to resolve itself. I could turn to The Boyfriend for help on this, but I've been doing that a lot lately, so he's apt to just try and teach me a lesson about self-reliance and why I should have studied Japanese harder.... Or I'm just overreacting.
Either way, this would be much simpler if I was part of the modern age and had a credit card. Of course, if I did, I'd probably be horribly in debt with a whole lot of useless crap cluttering up my apartment....
UPDATE: Cancel whinge. Turns out Symantec just doesn't like Firefox. I opened it up in IE and had no problem. Off to 7-11....
