2009 / 2010 Better Sex Erotic Fiction Contest
BetterSex.com has a tradition of supporting emerging writers. We've awarded over $15,000 to aspiring erotic fiction authors. Our latest contest starts NOW with a call for entries and $4,000 in prize money awarded around Valentine's Day 2010.
If past contests are any indication, we will receive hundreds of erotic fiction stories from around the world. 39 stories will be selected for community voting. Each week one of the three stories on BetterSex.com will win the most votes and become a semifinalist.
3,000 Word Limit is binding this year. Copyright is always maintained by the writer in our contests (we are writers too). After the first round of community voting, we pay for the right to use your work. Awards are granted to stories, so an author may win multiple awards. Authors may submit as may stories as they would like.
Submission deadline is October 4th, but we are working with rolling admissions again. This means when we see a great story it earns one of our 39 publication slots for community voting (3 stories a week for 13 weeks vie to become semifinalists). Weekly winners, those stories with the most community votes, receive $100, a place in the semifinals, and it will be published in our book from this event. 13 Semifinalists will be narrowed to 3 finalists again by community vote and a 3 judge panel will select the grand prize winner ($2,000 this year).
