Lunch!
Lunch with my Sis was really good. She introduced me to my new niece, who is tiny and pink. Also she sleeps a lot. That's about it.
After lunch we went to Harrod's and then to Hamley's, which was much more interesting. I embarrassed my sister by buying her daughter a toy dinosaur and having more fun with it than she did. (His name is Filo the Stegasaurus! He comes from space!)
Then Sis wanted to go and look at kitchenware, which is apparently something you do when you're a Mummy, so me and Niece went for a walk, until she decided that Filo and movement were not enough and set up a noise that may well herald the walls of Jericho falling.
So we shared a sticky bun from some cafe. Well, I ate it, she sort of smeared it about everywhere. We even had a gossip. (Turns out a baby is the difference between being the nutter burbling away on a bench and a loving auntie talking to her niece!)
I think we bonded. The goo on my jumper says we did. I think Sis enjoyed the time away, because she's now darkly hinting at baby-sitting. Oh god. WHAT DO YOU DO WITH BABIES WHEN BUNS DON'T WORK??
